CITY WOK
So as I was down essex for the week I also got invited to a islamic hip hop event down woking.
The lineup was young ummah, imhotep, Masikah and Muslim Belal.
I guess I have to big them all up because they were doing there thing without any background music so it was basic accapella.
I have to say Imhotep, Masikah and Belal killed it tho.
Imhoteps poems actually were pretty intense and his flow with the words he was expressing were diverse and original.
Masikah for me was my favourite, this guy is like foreign beggars put into one, but he raps about islamic life etc.
Belal I think could keep his flow going for a very very very long time, the guy killed it and needed to sip on some water in the end.
Props to all of them, and ill be posting more about these guys on the blog.
here are the links to their myspace and if you are from the LDN area and muslim then you should check these guys out no questions asked.

hard shoulder
So Ive been away for the past few weeks volunteering for charity and it really has given me an insight not just on how people care about others but coincidences as well.
I just got back from camping out on the borders of Essex, some next scout thing called Jamboree.
It was full of kids 10-18 from all over the place, and most of them were on it.
I met alot of people and learnt new skills, I also had fate giving me the chance to meet some Americans, its weird because nearly everyone I met was really nice, they didn't judge on anything except personality. I think alot of people lack that nowadays espish the areas where I live.
Anyway I got invited to go to America and as soon as I get the paper to go, Im on that next flight to Chicago or Phoenix.
